Power of Three-in-One
JAX, Enterprise Architektur Konferenz and Eclipse Forum Europe will take place at the same time, in the same building. Enrolling for Eclipse Forum Europe qualifies you to attend all sessions and workshops at our JAX and Enterprise Architektur Konferenz (EAKon) for no additional fee! JAX sessions concentrate on traditional Java topics, frameworks, and development techniques. The EAKon complements JAX by looking at the wider picture, going beyond the scope of Java and Eclipse to cover SOA-related techniques and integration of heterogeneous environments.
Power Workshops
All-day Power Workshops on Monday (April 23) and Friday (April 27) give attendees the opportunity to enhance their know-how on the major technologies. Adept speakers will share their knowledge and cover all aspects of the topic at hand. All-day Power Workshops start at 9 a.m. and finish at 4.30 in the afternoon.
Sessions
You can put together your own custom conference program, picking your favourites from more than 30 sessions on offer at Eclipse Forum Europe and about 100 sessions lined up for JAX and EAKon (Tuesday, April 24 to Thursday, April 26). To make your task easier, we have grouped the sessions into various technology tracks. Each session will be for 75 minutes.
Lunch, Coffee Breaks
Coffee and snacks are available during breaks between sessions on the main conference days and Power Workshop days. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a fabulous luncheon on all the conference days they are booked for.
JAX Open Expo
The exhibition that accompanies the main conference is a platform to gather information on the innovative products and solutions on display in the exhibition hall, to learn more about the businesses, and to establish relationships with the people behind them.
Keynotes
Top of the line speakers from the industry will deliver the opening keynotes on each day. These eminent decision makers of the software industry will comment on major trends and present their vision for the future of enterprise computing.
BOF: Birds of a Feather Sessions
Birds of a feather (BOF) sessions are informal gathering where the participant are free to bring up controversial topics. BOFs are normally hosted by several speakers at a time, giving attendees the opportunity to raise questions, give an opinion, exchange experiences, and generally discuss issues that are on top of their mind. BOF sessions are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. They are listed in the general session schedule and in the session planner.
Computer, Internet Access
Computers with free Internet access will be available in the exhibition area. Attendees who bring their own laptops can use Wireless LAN to go online.
JAX Jogging
JAX Jogging is part of the social program at JAX, EAKon and Eclipse Forum Europe. Attendees will meet in the entrance hall at Eclipse Forum Europe on Tuesday (April 24) and Wednesday (April 25) evening and go on a light jog for approximately 30 to 60 minutes. So don't forget to bring your running shoes!
JAX Ballroom
The JAX Ballroom on Tuesday, April 24, at 8.30 p.m. is a new feature of the JAX conference. Here you have the possibility to chat with speakers and JAX attendees after a hard working day - with some free beer! The rules are very simple: we will provide several tables attributed to numerous topics. The tables will be coached by experts, who will answer your questions and moderate the discussions. If you are interested in more than one topic, you may go to the next table of your choice. You'd like to propose a topic or you want to be host of a topic? Please contact Alexander Neumann!
Conference CD
About two weeks after the Eclipse Forum Europe attendees will be mailed a conference CD with all the slides, source code, and examples featured in the sessions.
